As an advocate for Canadian culture since 1943, ACTRA is a member-driven union that continues to secure rights and respect for the work of professional performers.

Welcome to the ACTRA Maritimes website! ACTRA Maritimes is the local branch of the Alliance of Canadian Cinema, Television and Radio Artists (ACTRA), the national union of professional performers working in recorded media in Canada. ACTRA represents the interests of over 30,000 members across the country – the foundation of Canada’s highly acclaimed professional performing community. ACTRA Maritimes represents the interests of almost 900 members across the three provinces of Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island. Our talented members work in all areas of recorded media and are the backbone of our thriving professional film and television industry. On our website, you will find information on who we are, what we do, what’s going on, and details on our industry both here in the Maritimes and across Canada.
